George Paul Beally passed away in Calgary, Alberta, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 82, after a brief illness, at Rockyview General Hospital, Calgary Alberta. George fought with his signature strong mental acuity and unwavering courage until the end.

Born on May 26, 1943, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, George was the beloved son of the late Harry and Myrtle (nee McKelvey) Beally. He spent his childhood and youth in Winnipeg and Regina, where he developed the strong Prairie roots and quiet resilience that stayed with him throughout his life.

George built a long and dependable career working with credit unions and trust companies across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He was respected for his reliability, professionalism, and steady dedication. After retiring, George chose to make his home in Calgary, where he could be close to the family he loved. He enjoyed regular visits with his family including both sons in law, and his grandsons & their families. He especially enjoyed inviting family over to watch his favorite team, the Chicago Bears play football, as well as numerous other sports.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Michael Beally, a loss he carried quietly and deeply for his whole life.

George is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Mariea Tsamalidis; his son-in-law, Chris Tsamalidis; his former son-in-law, Peter Slyker; his brother, David Beally (Linda); his five grandsons, Erik, Luke, Dave (Karissa), Troy (Josefina), and Noah Slyker, all of Calgary; and his four great-grandsons, Ulysses, Sterling, Theos, and Pierce Slyker, also of Calgary. He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family and long time friends.

George will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather, a steady and dependable presence, and a man who valued family, hard work, and the comfort of being near those he loved. He was always there to lend an ear and for conversation.

A private remembrance will be held.
